Announcements for the week…

Thank you to everyone who attended Wednesday evening’s PSO meeting. We are still in need of a couple of leads for committees. We have many people who have offered to be on our Social Events and Fundraising Committees. We have heard many great suggestions and have come up with good ideas for both of these committees as well. If you are interested in being a lead for either of these committees, please contact me, Terry Burget, at PSO@LincolnPrep.org.

We would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the September Teacher Appreciation apple-themed Treat Table. It was a spectacular feast that was greatly appreciated by the faculty.

Everybody is getting excited about Lincoln Prep’s first all-school Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 30th at 7:00 pm, which will coincide with the first High School Football Game on the Lincoln Field on Monday, October 2nd at 5:00 pm. Details are being finalized today, so look for those and a Sign Up Genius within the next few days.

The Great Hearts Gala is set for September 23rd. Read more about this very important event here: http://greatheartsgala.greatheartsacademies.org/

To follow up on some questions that were asked at one of the recent PSO meetings, The Lincoln Prep September board meeting has been cancelled. As soon as the date is announced for the next meeting, it will be published here.

Carrie Siegel-Benell, the Senior Director of Annual Campaigns and Development Operations at Great Hearts Academies answered our inquiry regarding allocation of funds from the Great Hearts Gala. She said that funds raised are used for teacher professional development across the network. Those funds will benefit the teachers at all of our Great Hearts schools equally.

Carrie also let us know that the graphs showing allocation of Community Investment Campaign funds are still being finalized and are in the design process. She hopes to get them distributed and published by the end of the month or early next month.

Have a great weekend! Look back this week as the blog/website will be updated further this weekend.
