Gratitude and Reminders….

Greetings Lincoln Prep Families! Thank you for all that you’ve done to create such a positive atmosphere on campus this year. We have some volunteer needs coming up within the next few weeks that I would like us all to start thinking about.

I am grateful to announce that Sandy Ashbaugh will be in charge of our Fine Arts Night that will take place on December 7th from 7pm to 8:30pm. She is currently creating a Sign Up Genius for the event. Please mark your calendar to assist with Fine Arts Night. We will be in need of about 15 volunteers for this very special event. I will update the blog and the ‘Volunteer’ page when the Sign Up Genius is completed.

We will also be in need of assistance with pizza sales during our Final Exam week. I did it last year. It is easy, fun and fast! It’s a great way to see your student between exams and ask how it is going. Please consider assisting. Thank you to Beth Watkins, Lunch Coordinator, who will be creating the Sign Up Genius! That will be posted within the next couple of weeks.

If you prefer a more quiet setting, plan to proctor during the final exams. We will need up to 17 proctors daily. It is a huge need and assists our teachers greatly. I will be creating that Sign Up Genius with details of what proctors do, within the next couple of weeks.

Thank you to all families who have contributed to the holiday gift cards for teachers! If you have not visited the ‘Teacher Appreciation’ page recently, let me give you the highlights of Tracy Vickery’s message:

We would like to ask Lincoln Prep families to donate one lump sum (any amount that is comfortable for you!) and we will pool that amount together and purchase gift cards for our teachers and staff. The PSO will add in $20 per teacher on top of what we receive from family donations. Staff will be given gift cards too. We will include your family’s name on the holiday card. We will wrap the gift cards with the dry erase markers (if you purchased markers, can you drop them off in the teacher appreciation bin in the office). If you have any questions, please contact Tracy Vickery, Teacher Appreciation Lead, at (480)277-7781, or tracyvickery@hotmail.com.

Additionally, the Teacher Wishlists can be found in the LP front office. If you would like to view specific teacher preferences, drop by the office to take a viewing of those.

As always, if you have any questions for me, Terry Burget, PSO President, please contact me at PSO@LincolnPrep.org. You are also invited to stop in after morning drop-off to see me. I always love to chat and I am in the front office at Lincoln Prep most mornings until 9am.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving with your friends and families!
