Fourth quarter. Full steam ahead!

Hello there Lincoln Prep Families. I hope you and your families enjoyed your break. We have a lot going on the last quarter of school. There will be all kinds of volunteer opportunities due to events,  a field trip and as always, lunch. It is our last quarter of pleading for lunch volunteers-joy!

Thank you so much to Beth for creating a lunch Sign Up Genius that covers the rest of the school year, and also to those of you who have already signed up to assist with lunch. I like your spirit! If you have yet to sign up for lunch, call your favorite friend at LP who has a valid fingerprint clearance, coordinate your calendars and sign up for all of those dates here!

The teachers were treated to an awesome BBQ lunch buffet on Wednesday. I am very grateful to Tracy for coordinating that effort. Dr. Mitchell sent the following email to me, but I know exactly who to forward it to…..our very generous and caring volunteers! Thank you all. Please read:

Dear Ms. Burget,

You should see the huge smiles in the Lincoln Prep Conference Room right now. The faculty and staff love – simply love – the barbeque lunch!

Please thank the Lincoln Prep parents for supporting this Q4 teacher sustenance and appreciation effort. This delicious food is so good for the soul. Well done!

Go Lightning!

Respectfully,

Ben

I hope by now you have RSVP’d to the parent-only dance, “The Blue and Gold Classic,” which will be held on Friday, April 20, at 7pm, here at Lincoln Prep. I will be there and my husband has been told that he will be attending as well-ha! I highly encourage you to attend this fabulous community-building event. Not only is it a party, but it is a great way to network with other Lincoln Prep parents. We should ALL be there, and I am very much looking forward to seeing you all there!

Stay tuned for event dates. Our Fundraising Lead (Jacque) and our Social Event Lead (Tracy) have been busy researching and scheduling. We have events such as a Family Fun Night at Chipotle in the works, as well as a rollerskating event to look forward to. When those dates are set, I will post them.

The 7th grade field trip to the Arizona Science Center will be on Thursday, April 12th. If you are a 7th grade parent with your fingerprint clearance, and you are interested in being a chaperone, please contact me, Terry Burget, directly at PSO@LincolnPrep.org. Please remember that if you have not yet and are able to do so, we ask that you donate $20.00 to help cover the costs associated with the field trip. You can do so on the Payment Portal. This allows us to continue these amazing trips allowing for our students to learn through hands-on instruction. Thank you!

As always, I appreciate the time you have spent reading this. It’s going to be another great quarter at Lincoln Prep. I look forward to seeing you soon!
