This week’s happenings

Hello Lincoln Prep families: I am so grateful for the volunteers that have stepped up to assist me with stocking the vending machine. Michelle Brinkman, Ali Mills, Stephanie Niemyjski, and Dee Ulano. Your volunteering is appreciated!

Our Fall Sports Banquet is around the corner, on November 7th, from 5:30-7pm, and we need some help. Please click here, to look at the signup genius and get plugged in. It’s a great way to show your support for our student athletes.

Just a reminder, on Friday, November 9th, from 8:30-10:00 pm, we will be going to Feed My Starving Children, located at 1345 S. Alma School Rd., Mesa, 85210. If you intend on going, you MUST make online reservations. Simply go to www.fmsc.org, then scroll down towards the bottom of the page, you will see two white colored boxes, click on the one that says  VOLUNTEER, then scroll down towards the bottom of the next page, where you will see the question, “ LOOKING FOR A  SPECIFIC GROUP?”,  under that question is a box, enter in the  code 1499048, then hit SEARCH GROUPS. You will see Melissa Malcom’s name, and Lincoln Prep PSO. Click the JOIN box. Follow the prompts to complete your registration, to ensure your place and that you can be in the school’s group. This would be a great way to teach your student to be grateful. Oftentimes, kids do not know how good they have it, until they participate in something that exposes them to other people in this world.  I hope that you and your family will consider coming to this event, it will be a great way to meet people from the school and to give back to those less fortunate.

The 9th grade field trip is on Thursday, November 15th. They will be going to a couple of different local History museums. Chaperones are needed, click here, to signup.

Our next Student Night Life is on Friday, November 16th, at 6pm. This is a chance for your student to mingle with, and get to know other students, in other grades, that they normally would not get to meet. This is a student led event, with the girls meeting in one place on campus, while the boys meet somewhere else. They do various activities, eat pizza, and get to see some of their teachers wearing jeans! There is no cost, and the students do not have to wear their uniforms.

Our next PSO meeting will be on Wednesday, November 28th, 8am, at The Wildflower Bread Company, located at 75 E. Rivulon Blvd., just north of the 202.  I hope to see you there.

Have a great weekend and thanks as always for your support! Go Lightning!
